Coronavirus in Solano County – 13 new cases on April 8


Wednesday, April 8 – 13 new cases no new deaths, total now 112 cases, 2 deaths:

Summary:

Solano County reported 13 NEW POSITIVE CASES today – total is now 112No new deaths in Solano County – total of 2.

As of today, no new positive cases of young persons under 19 years of age; 86 of the cases were individuals between the ages of 19 and 64 (including all 13 of today’s new cases), and 26 were 65 were older.

Only 39 of the 112 are active cases (6 more than yesterday), and 27 of the total cases have resulted in hospitalizations (same as yesterday).

CITY DATA: Vallejo added 8 new cases, total of 41; Fairfield added 3 cases, total of 31; and Vacaville added 1 case, total of 18.  Smaller cities are still not assigned numerical data: all show <10 (less than 10).  NOTE that the 3 major cities only account for 12 of the 13 new cases, implying that 1 new case must have come from one of our four smaller cities or unincorporated areasResidents and city officials have been pressuring County officials for city case counts for the past two weeks.  Today’s data is welcome, but incomplete.

TESTING seems to be minimal in Solano County and most recently somewhat on the decline.
