COVID spread in Solano County: 100 new cases, 6 new deaths – STAY SAFE!

100 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend and 6 new deaths!  Ages 18-49 most likely to catch the virus.

Solano County reported 100 new COVID cases over the weekend, adding to 61 last Friday and 51 on Thursday.  Solano reported a total of 292 new cases last week, averaging 42 per day, edging us back toward the State’s purple tier.  The County also reported 6 new COVID-related deaths over the weekend!

Note that those of us age 18-49 are most likely to catch the virus.  The chart shows the rate of cases in Solano County (per 100,000 population, as of today).

Solano remains in COVID red tier, 24 new cases overnight, ‘active cases’ increasing

24 new COVID-19 cases overnight, number of active cases increased each of last 7 days

The County also reported 24 new positive COVID cases overnight among our neighbors today.  Active cases numbered 304 today, up from 222 a week ago.

Solano did not move to the orange tier yesterday as did several of our neighboring counties.  The virus is still on the move here.  Stay safe, get vaccinated, wear a mask and social distance!

Solano COVID-19 update: 44 new cases today, fewer ICU beds available

44 new COVID-19 cases overnight, ICU Beds back in yellow danger zone

The County also reported 44 new positive COVID cases overnight among our neighbors today.  ICU beds available are down to 26%, below 30% (yellow danger zone) for the first time since March 23. The virus is still on the move.  Stay safe, folks, get vaccinated, wear a mask!

A COVID weekend in Solano County: six deaths, 112 new cases, hospitalizations up

COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths increase dramatically in Solano during 4 weeks of March

Solano County saw six new COVID deaths over the weekend!  All six were over 65.  Most of our deaths since the outbreak began (78%) have been over 65 years. The County also reported 112 new positive COVID cases among our neighbors today.  The virus is still on the move.  Stay safe, folks, get vaccinated, wear a mask!

Reported hospitalizations increased significantly in March in all age groups
