Benicia Election Results – Nov. 16, 2016, 5pm

Solano County seal (400x400)The Solano County Registrar of Voters issued a day’s end report at 5:07pm Wednesday 11/16, showing that all Benicia races remain as they were on election night.

Mayor Elizabeth Patterson‘s lead increased by another 23 votes after today’s counting. Her margin of victory over challenger Mark Hughes has nearly tripled, increasing from 109 votes early on Wednesday morning, to 303 as of Wednesday evening Nov 16. Hughes phoned Mayor Patterson on Wednesday to concede the election.

City Councilmember-elect Steve Young‘s lead over Tom Campbell decreased by 5 votes today and his lead over Christina Strawbridge decreased by 3. Young remains the top vote-getter, now by a margin of 226 votes over Campbell and 752 votes over Strawbridge. Traditionally in Benicia, the Council candidate with the most votes becomes Vice Mayor until the next election cycle. Congratulations, Vice-mayor-elect Young!

Solano County Supervisor-elect Monica Brown also extended her lead over Mike Ioakimedes – by 218 votes, increasing her margin of victory to nearly 3200 votes (17,757 Brown to 14,563 Ioakimedes).

Solano County seal (400x400)The Solano County Registrar of Voters issued a day’s end report at 5:04pm today, showing that all Benicia races remain as they were on election night.

Mayor Elizabeth Patterson‘s lead increased by another 14 votes after today’s counting.  Her margin of victory over challenger Mark Hughes has increased from 109 votes early on Wednesday morning, to 280 as of Tuesday evening Nov 15.  Hughes phoned Mayor Patterson on Wednesday to concede the election.

City Councilmember-elect Steve Young‘s lead over Tom Campbell increased by 4 votes today and his lead over Christina Strawbridge increased by 38. Young remains the top vote-getter, now by a margin of 231 votes over Campbell and 755 votes over Strawbridge. Traditionally in Benicia, the Council candidate with the most votes becomes Vice Mayor until the next election cycle. Congratulations, Vice-mayor-elect Young!

Solano County Supervisor-elect Monica Brown also extended her lead over Mike Ioakimedes – by 108 votes, increasing her margin of victory to nearly 3000 votes (17,407 Brown to 14,431 Ioakimedes).

Mayor Elizabeth Patterson‘s lead increased by another 33 votes after today’s counting.  Her margin of victory over challenger Mark Hughes has increased from 109 votes early on Wednesday morning, to 266 as of Monday evening Nov 14.  Hughes phoned Mayor Patterson on Wednesday to concede the election.

City Councilmember-elect Steve Young‘s lead over Tom Campbell decreased by 28 today and his lead over Christina Strawbridge increased by 7. Young remains the top vote-getter, now by a margin of 227 votes over Campbell and 717 votes over Strawbridge. Traditionally in Benicia, the Council candidate with the most votes becomes Vice Mayor until the next election cycle. Congratulations, Vice-mayor-elect Young!

Benicia election results – Nov 10, 2016, 7pm – Patterson, Young, Campbell extend leads

Solano County seal (400x400)The Solano County Registrar of Voters issued a day’s end report at 5:15pm today, showing that all Benicia races remain as they were on election night.

Mayor Elizabeth Patterson‘s lead increased by 45 votes after today’s counting.  Her margin of victory has increased from 109 on Wednesday morning at 3:37am, to 188 on Wednesday at 5:37pm, to a new lead tonight of 233 votes over challenger Mark Hughes.  Hughes phoned Mayor Patterson on Wednesday to concede the election.

City Councilmember-elect Steve Young‘s lead over Tom Campbell decreased by 6 today and his lead over Christina Strawbridge increased by 3. Young remains the top vote-getter, now by a margin of 255 votes over Campbell and 710 votes over Strawbridge. Traditionally in Benicia, the Council candidate with the most votes becomes Vice Mayor until the next election cycle. Congratulations, Vice-mayor-elect Young!

Solano County Supervisor-elect Monica Brown also extended her lead over Mike Ioakimedes – by 480 votes, maintaining a margin of 54% to 46%.
